Lansing Psychological Associates (LPA) is currently seeking motivated and dedicated Psychiatrists (MD or DO) to join our expanding outpatient mental health team in East Lansing, Michigan.

We are a well-established private practice with over 40 years of service in the Mid-Michigan community. Our multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers who are passionate about delivering high-quality, client-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Set and manage schedules with clients
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments
  • Collaboratively develop and implement treatment plans
  • Deliver medication management and coordinate care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Meet periodically with the Clinical Director for support and professional growth
  • Collaborate with administrative and clinical team members

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatrist (MD or DO) — active license through LARA (no “in progress” licenses)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong computer proficiency for EHR and scheduling tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills

With over 40 years of service to the Mid-Michigan community, LPA is a trusted provider of high-quality, client-centered psychological care. We offer a collaborative and supportive environment where clinicians can thrive both professionally and personally.

About the Role

As a therapist at LPA, you’ll:

  • Manage your own schedule and caseload
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy sessions and clinical interventions tailored to client needs
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment as appropriate
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
  • Meet with the Clinical Director for consultation and ongoing professional development
  • Collaborate with administrative staff and lead clinical work for your assigned clients

Qualifications

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Hold a current license as PhD, PsyD, LMSW, LLP, LPC, LLMSW

Compensation

  • Therapists are paid per billable clinical hour, with compensation based on licensure and an agreed-upon fee split.
