Barry Mintzes, Ph.D., is a Licensed
Psychologist in the State of Michigan. He is the former warden of Jackson Prison and Kinross Correctional Facility and formerly the chief psychologist of the Psychiatric Clinic of Jackson Prison. He is the past president of the Michigan Psychological Association and the Michigan Society of Forensic Psychology. He is listed in the Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in American Law Enforcement, and Who's Who among Human Services Professionals. He works with adolescents, adults, and couples. He has extensive experience working with sex offenders, battered women, the criminal justice system, custody evaluations, insanity defense evaluations, ability to stand trial evaluations, and alcohol assessments. He does stress management and emphasizes short-term problem solving using cognitive/behavioral approach. He has been licensed in Michigan for over 35 years.
