Annette Henderson, LMSW   Annette Henderson, LMSW

Annette Henderson, LMSW, is a State of Michigan Licensed Master Social Worker. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers through the National Association of Social Workers. Over the past 10 years, she has been dedicated to serving children, adolescents, adults and families with an array of emotional and behavioral issues, from varying backgrounds in both residential and outpatient settings. While she specializes in adolescent and adult sexual offender treatment, juvenile delinquency, and working with sexually reactive children, she also has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in helping young people and young adults heal from sexual abuse, incest and other traumas; recover from sexual and drug addictions; build a better self-esteem; manage depression, anger, and stress; work through unresolved issue/conflicts from childhood; restructure unhealthy and self-defeating core belief systems; and improve family dynamics. Although she primarily uses cognitive- behavioral and psychodynamic interventions, her approach is quite eclectic - tailored to the individual needs of her clients. Regardless of the treatment approach taken, all work is done from a strengths-based framework where clients leave feeling respected, empowered, and validated- on their way to revitalizing their relationships, breaking barriers, conquering conflicts, healing heartache, and overcoming opposition.
