James R. Engelkes, Ph.D., is a Christian oriented Licensed Psychologist in the State of Michigan. He provides individual and couple psychotherapy for adults and older adolescents. He uses an eclectic approach including cognitive/behavioral and some psychodynamic influence. Additionally, he provides forensic, psychological, and vocational assessments. He works with a general mental health and rehabilitation caseload. Many of his clients present with depression, anxiety and stress related problems. Former Full Professor at Michigan State University (1969 - 1985); he has worked over 40 years in this area. He is past President of the Michigan Vocational Guidance Association.
