Theresa F. Braden LMSW, is a Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker for the State of Michigan and is certified in School
Social Work. She has been in practice for 13 years, gaining experience with a variety of clients, in a multitude of
settings. She has provided services to clients, both youth and adult, involved with Head Start and those participating
in a community mental health setting. She has conducted individual and group therapy with adult and adolescent
males placed in residential and jail programs by the Michigan Department of Corrections and the Department of
Human Services, Juvenile Justice System. For the last 4 years, she has conducted psychotherapy with children,
adolescents, and adults, including family counseling, and marital/divorce counseling, in a private practice, office
based setting. Her primary style of practicing is that of solution focused, cognitive/ behavioral, interpersonal therapy.
Ms. Braden specializes in helping clients create successful boundaries for themselves and others, in order to
empower them in making and maintaining healthy relationships. She specializes in adult clients parenting difficult
children and adolescents and those having pre-marital or marital difficulties, as well as, helping with issues
troubling adolescents and young adults. She is available for appointments a variety of weekdays, scheduling day
and evening appointments and is also available Saturday mornings . She provides services at the office in East
Lansing and at the Mid-Michigan Physician building on Lake Lansing Road in Lansing, Michigan.
